Well, we have some more exciting news. An anonymous donor has agreed to match that overage. Yes, a check for $3 is on the way!
But wait. There’s more! The donor has challenged us to double our number of Facebook “likes” by the time we break ground on our Lancaster house and will donate $3 to our local affiliate for each new “like” up to that goal.

On July 8 the Habitat for Humanity Ammonoosuc Region affiliate held a ground breaking for the new home being built on Village Way in Littleton. This house marks the fifth house in five years that the chapter has built. The Habitat for Humanity Ammonoosuc Region will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the 2013 build on Monday, July 8 at 6:30pm. This year’s build is taking place on Village Way in Littleton. This is the fifth home built by this affiliate and second home built in Littleton, the previous one built in 2009 on Grover Street.

Plans are well underway for our 2013 build in Littleton. Along with the build a group of volunteers will also be at the Littleton Farmers Market on select Sundays to raise funds and awareness. Ammonoosuc Habitat is gearing up for this year’s build on Village Way in Littleton, which should begin in June. The Affiliate has also closed on a property on Hartco Avenue in Lancaster for the planned 2014 build. The purchase was made with grant money from the Tillotson Fund which granted funds to buy three properties in Coos County to build homes on. In December of 2012 the hoe in Lancaster was completed and the partner family moved in.
