You Helped Us Meet Our Challenge!

You have helped Habitat for Humanity Ammonoosuc Region bring in more than $25,000 as part of a matching-gift challenge announced earlier this year. Money raised during the challenge period, which ended March 31, 2010, qualifies the affiliate to receive an additional $25,000 from a small group of Habitat supporters in the North Country.

The local affiliate plans to break ground within the next couple of months in Whitefield. Applications have been received from a number of potential Partner families and are being reviewed now. The affiliate expects to begin work soon to build a simple, decent, affordable home in partnership with this family. Read more on our Facebook page.

So Far: In March 2008, Habitat for Humanity International approved the formation of a new affiliate, Habitat for Humanity Ammonoosuc Region. In June 2009, the local affiliate broke ground on its first project. Five months later, our partner family, the Shosas, moved into their new home.
